Based in Villa Park, Illinois, James Orlowski spent six years as the swing-shift supervisor at Butler Aviation at the Ohara Airport. In addition to unloading baggage and leading the cleaning crew, he supervised all flight operations and maintenance activities during nighttime and other non-traditional work hours. James Orlowski contributed significantly to aviation safety and efficient operations outside of the typical nine-to-five hours of operation.
James Orlowski has studied aviation as part of the Belleville Area College aviation program, which offers various pilot degrees and certifications, and political science at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. Now retired, he primarily focuses on maintaining his home and property. He works on classic cars, such as the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. He also enjoys watching films and television shows, playing board games, and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoys staying physically active by playing tennis and golfing. In the past, he played music in a band.
